All things in order.....or not

It has nearly been a year and a half since I last posted on my blog. My little Ian is almost 18 months and my energetic Nikolas will be 4 in a couple of months. Oh, how time flies! I have thought about posting several times, but I think I have a "syndrome" that in my brain all things must be done in order and in chronological order for that matter and that nothing can be skipped. So, as silly as it sounds this post is really hard for me to write and even more so POST because I am starting a fresh without going back and filling in what is missing of the last 18 months. I know, it sounds silly, and and probably makes little sense to you but I am almost having an anxiety attack just thinking about it. Ha! Ha! Anyone have a diagnosis?

So, the real reason for this post is very selfish. I have always loved photography and though I don't have a "natural" talent for it, I am drawn to it. So, in trying to discover myself and the things I am passionate about, I have decided to try out new things and one of those is exploring the world of photography. I took a basic photography class from a local girl I grew up with, Brooke Snow. Her class was fabulous!! (Highly, highly recommended if you want to learn how to use your SLR camera) I learned so many things about photography, how to use my camera, and how to see joy in the world around me through a lens. I want to be able to capture moments and memories of my family and in a way that when I look back I can feel and remember those moments and feel the happiness expereinced.
Getting to the point, Brooke is offering a scholarship for her Advanced Pro Workshop and I really want to go. It sounds cliche but I have a thirst for knowledge and I really want to know everything I can in my photography journey. I want to learn how to capture feelings and emotions in pictures especially with my little monsters. Childhood is such a sweet, playful, and innocent time of life, and I want to be able to capture those moments in my children and in all children so that we can treasure and freeze them forever.
Brooke, thank you for considering me for the scholarship and it would be an honor to be able to participate in the class!
For the rest of you, I did it, I posted and I will post again soon....
